Hit-boxes are a critical part of Operator's realism. Hit-boxes affect shot placement as well as new combinations of gear to protect those hit-boxes.

Operator has separate hit-boxes for head and face. This means that a helmet may only protect a portion of your head. You need face protection to protect your face. There is also a new set of hit-boxes for the groin (sacrum) and throat. These are often overlooked critical hit locations. In Operator, our damage model accounts for realistic incapacitation due to proper ammo/gear/hit-box combinations. Face, head, throat, chest, stomach, sacrum, limb, extremity. Those are the Operator hit-boxes and there is working armor for all but the extremities. Each type of armor is displayed in game and appears to protect the hit-boxes in question. So when shooting at someone, you know what is armored and what is not. Place your shots accordingly.
